My friend (kami) was accepted to USYD for EAS. ![]() Since I'm on his glorification bandwagon at the moment, I'd like to mention that he got 100 for RET and is in the 99.8th percentile of the nation for the STAT exam... I may not be him, but I'm pretty darn happy for him at the moment! ![]()

I hear UNSW is the only other Uni that sends out letters?

8 Nov 2008, 8:56 PM | Re: EAS Accepted? Heehee - thanks Lynny! I feel glittery now lol ![]() Ok, well to be considered for EAS it needs to be in your preferences by 30th of November so if any other unis sneaked on since then...uhoh spaghettios, also thats basically all you need - UAC will send your info and its notations and whatnot to the unis and they'll decide individually (*if* you have them in your preferences by that date). *And* its important to remember that the unis decide independently of another - USYD could knock you back but UWS accept you and the other way around, and lastly if you don't get letters don't fret because most universites don't - USYD(which I got today! ), UTS and UNSW are the only ones that I'm waiting on since I know MQ and UWS won't send one - so don't worry if you don't get a letter, you still might have got it from somewhere |

18 Jul 2008, 9:50 PM | Re: EAS Accepted? I didn't get accepted neither. I reckon i got jipped pretty badly. I provided about 3 specialist reports, doctors report, school note showing the estimates i recieved (5), ultrasound report of my neck and some blood test results. Apparently taking 2 months off school with a life threatning disease (which at one stage, the doctor had told me to leave the room while they talked to my parents. I got really scared there) with about 60% chance of dying along with 5 estimates during mid year isn't enough to be accepted. USYD can get screwed. |

I don't think USYD is to blame unfortunately - I'd blame the many silly kids for people with genuine problems getting knocked back because there are whole schools(even some selective schools I believe) who have promoted the idea of sending in EAS applications on the basis of recieving youth allowance and as you may know there are only limited EAS spots so every person who doesn't need it that gets EAS approval means another person loses out. I'm sorry to hear about you not getting it - it sounds like you really needed it ![]() Last edited by kami : 15 Dec 2005 at 9:29 PM. Reason: it makes more sense now!

Wait so you're telling me that you got accepted into EAS at USYD without applying? Now that is pretty fubar'd. According to what kami said, your school could have sent EAS's or something shifty like that to the board of studies and they accepted them. This makes me want to piss all over the people who are involved with this kind of crap. They should all be shot repeatedly, piss in the wounds, cut off/maim all reproductive organs, have them shoved down their throat, sodomised, left to die and finally drawn and quatered. Hate
