I was browsing my favourite news site, Arab News and came across a very interesting title. Whenever I see something in an Arab based paper that hints to both animals and women the story is often rather interesting. The title that caught my attention was Two Rams and a Woman.
The general story - the journalist records his perplexity in regard to two verdicts delivered on the same day:
The general story - the journalist records his perplexity in regard to two verdicts delivered on the same day:
- Two thieves who stole two rams were sentenced to 3 years imprisonment and 1,000 lashes.
So you'd expect anything worse than stealing two goats to be punished pretty badly, right? - A man who beat his wife to death received 2 years imprisonment and 200 lashes.

Kiiling is not the answer, you uneducated pig...how dare you, its people like you that are a a problem in this world and the fact that you ppl cant move on, and is also the reason that fighting is still seen as the answer in 2009m seriously how far have we come from the 1800s or even BC. What makes you think your better than a person of any difference to you? we are all human beings, all have the same emotions, feelings. Obviously you cant understand that concept because of the mental block in your brain.
I no this story you found is disgusting and wrong, but as you will find there culture is very different to the one we as australians have, the times shall catch up with them and change shall happen, just as it has in our countrys history.
But just showing this article potrays a harsh message, as the media is well known for. What is it you are trying to say about this culture?. Although your intensions may be a harmless, it does give this culture a bad name, as there are so many beautiful things about them, that never get spoken about. Ask yourself if this may be the problem with the world today, if mabey focussing on the negative, rather than the postitive, effects us and the way we think. I am not saying this is right i am disgusted and outraged, but I am rather focusing on the bigger picture of this nation, is it needs to be done.Posted 18 Feb 2009 at 9:28 PM by lindax
