okay PIP. one of the most discussed topic and i am contributing to that.

I want my research to be based on the changing influence of parents on their children. like how friends are slowly becoming more important then parents....
but i am having trouble phrasing the question properly and coming up with an interesting name for the topic

So far i have a question like this "Has there been a change over generations in parents' influence on youth?"

i think it can be phase better

any suggestion??

no. i don't think so , because in the end we all show a characterictic of our parents in our lives. and we look back and say "omg my mum used to do that, etc"

    true that....
may be i didn't phrase what i was trying to say properly.
i want to look at how when youth looks for advices these days, they ask their friends first and may value friends' opinions more than parents.

Welcome to the wondeful world of pips, stock up on plastic sleevs and coffee.

okay with the title, seriously, don't stress over it at the moment - that can de done later. bake da cake first n decorate later.

you are talking about CHANGE . the key word suggests its essential for you to look at a range of generations and reasons for the change to give depth to your PIP. do u get wat i mean???? so find out if there is change (u cant deny it) and WHY.

remember you can always pharse your question after doing a bit of research, for example, i mean say u discover that media is the reason for the change in relationships, then you can av somethin like, "To what extent has media influenced the develpoment of bonding between youth and parents?"

remeber you might change ur whole topic. but don't do it too late casue that's just stupid - believev me, i know pple that have and end the end product has lacked depth - we don't want that.

to really giev ur work depth make sure you use sociologists, for you people like maslow and his heirahcy of needs - he sounds like a good person to look into and see what needs parents are meant to fullfil and HOW and WHy this need is being fulfilled by peers more than parents. this sound good - reckon you have a good topic with which you can do lots.

so go reasearch and work from there. at least u seem to be startin on time and u have a topic. well done and keep up the good work.
