I'm Repeating Yr11

As name indicates I am stuck in sticky situation whereas I am being made to repeat yr 11. I was going shit and I missed a term due to glandular fever anyway, except for mx1 which i topped :P. So anyone else repeating, or have in the past yr11 or yr12

Hi,

I have just completed my HSC exams, and am offering English tutoring/help for free for high-school students.

I am from a selective school that is in the top 5 in the state (willing to provide the name to those interested in my services- PM me). I’ve had English tutoring ever since I was in high school, and know how costly they can be.

Just keep in mind that you will might be required to provide some basic notes/information on the module/text if it isn’t one that I studied.

So if you would like help with your essays, creative writing or comprehension responses, feel free to contact me. The only thing I ask in return is travel reimbursement/transport if you would prefer me to travel to you, otherwise, we’ll meet somewhere in Chatswood (which is where I am located).

So if you are interested, just provide me with some details:
- year you are in at school (if you’re in year 11/12, please tell me which course you are doing - Standard, Advanced, Extension etc)
- where you would like to meet up
- what you’d like help in (essays, comprehension, creative writing etc)

Hey now that Prelim is over, I was wondering if anyone wanted to share their results. Also maybe post what subject you are doing next year and dropping

At my school for Prelim, the kids that do 3 unit maths only get ranked amongst each other as they do not do the 2 unit paper. The 3 unit paper consists of 2 unit and 3unit topics.

My subjects next year are
English Adv
Maths Extension I and II
Chemistry
Biology
Legal Studies

Is doing three sciences without mathematics unwise?

Hello all,

I am considering studying physics, chemistry and biology without mathematics. My subjects would be:

Biology
Chemistry
English Advanced
Hospitality
Italian
Physics
Studies of Religion I

I've already established that it is possible to succeed in physics without doing mathematics, but what about for all three sciences?

What I'm more interested in is how other people coped with doing three sciences, with or without mathematics. Was it too difficult? Was it fun? Did you cope?

I am sorry if there are threads on this topic already. If there are, please either answer here or direct me to another thread (with a link please).

Hi everyone! I would love if anyone could send their notes for the subjects that i am studying (seen in my signature). I am hoping to gain a foundation of knowledge for my courses, prior to studying them with my teachers in class.

with all this talk of the upcoming hsc year thought id lighten the mood by saying how funny it was seeing the year 10's today stressing over the SC today pretty much made my day
glad i found out early that year 10 = partying

Dictionary guidelines for Japanese continuers..?

When i went to Open High School for my preliminary exam, they told us we were allowed to take in dictionaries into the exam in yr 12, but with exceptions. I remember that we werent allowed to have highlighted words/bookmarks/folded over pages/electronic dictionaries....etc.

but are tags allowed?
like the tags you would have for an english dictionary that marks where a letter begins and a new letter starts..
like A, B, C and so on..

i recently got myself some sticker tags and already...stuck them onto the edges of the dictionary.. >_____<;;; i feel so silly.. i hope they are allowed?
