However, when I touched the bottoms of the zinc and copper electrodes together, the reaction stopped, and the voltage... However, when I touched the bottoms of the zinc and copper electrodes together, the reaction stopped, and the voltage went down to zero.

However the focus is on the amount of energy it takes to convert Cellulose into glucose. If that is the case why cant we use starch ?
