Need English tutoring

Need some help for upcoming assessment task(s) for English Advanced. The problem I have in my class is that we NEVER discuss how to actually write a proper essay, all the work pre-exam is just discussing the themes, ideas, context etc and not actually being taught how to formulate that into an essay that answers the question. My teacher also never reads practice essays that we give her, she simply puts a mark on it and gives it back without really helping much.

Assessment task is in a few weeks, and it's on Frankenstein/Blade Runner. I think I have a reasonably solid understanding of the ideas and themes in the texts, but as I said just really need some help LEARNING how use this to answer the question properly.

I just graduated from James Ruse Agricultural High School this year (09) and with a lot of time on my hands, I am offering tutoring in HSC subjects of maths (2u/3u), chemistry, physics and English (marking and amending essays) for standard, advanced and extension 1. I am offering preliminary tutoring in Physics, English and Maths (Not Chemistry). School Certificate for Maths also.

I have just completed my HSC exams, and am offering English tutoring/help for free for high-school students.

I am from a selective school that is in the top 5 in the state (willing to provide the name to those interested in my services- PM me). I’ve had English tutoring ever since I was in high school, and know how costly they can be.

Just keep in mind that you will might be required to provide some basic notes/information on the module/text if it isn’t one that I studied.

My name is Annie and I have recently finish my HSC. My academic diligence is evident in my internal ranks as I am ranked in the top 4 for all my subjects (except for English but I am in the top 10). I am offering preliminary and HSC tutoring for the following subjects:

English – all levels of English. I did Letters to Alice/Pride and prejudice, As You Like It, Wag the Dog and Harwood poetry but I can help you no matter what texts you are studying. I will be able to assist you in essay writing and analysis of text.

Chemistry- option is Shipwrecks (I am willing to study other options if required and this applies to physics and biology)

Physics- option is Quanta to Quarks

Biology – option is communication

Mathematics and Extension 1 mathematics (2U/3U). I accelerated mathematics in year 11 and I did complete 4U math for HSC but I am not offering 4U because I want to concentrate on 2U and 3U.

Studies of Religion – my depth studies are Judaism and Christianity.

For the math and sciences, I have countless examination papers (independent, CSSA, other schools) and study guides (e.g. Coroneas, Cambridge, Excel etc) as well as detailed notes from many other students.

I aim to provide a tutoring style that suits your needs whether you simply want to accelerate in the course or need assistance with homework. Other than providing support during the tutoring session, you can also send me any questions or ask me for help over msn, email, facebook etc. I prefer to tutor in the Parramatta, Merrylands, strathfield and NSW state library.

Maths Tutoring - 99 4u, 100 3u (2008)- Strathfield Area

Hi, I'm Varun and i'm a meddie at monash

My Maths marks were as above, 99 in 4u, and 100 in 3u, though i didnt get state ranks becuase the exams were so easy, those marks werent as extraordinary.
I did the 2u in yr 11 and got 98 and 13th in the state.
I got a 100 in the school certificate maths
I have consistently won the maths prize every year at my school, Trinity Grammar School, never having to share it.
My Uai was 99.70, and i got a state rank for engineering studies

I am offering tutoring in all types of maths, and all types of students, not just the toppers. What i offer in addition to the usual, is a way to combat the dreaded 'silly mistake', the mistake you make not due to lack of knowledge, but due to lack of care. Nothing secret, its just structure, most people have poorly structured answers, making it difficult to check, (but a little easier to scab marks :)). That alone probably pushed me near the top of my cohort.

I live in Strathfield, but i am happy to drive to you, or we can meet up at my house, or at a library or any other arrangement that suits you (though i think thats all the arrangements possible)

I have a vast number of past papers for 3 and 4 unit, a lot of books as well - the phoenix and past paper compilations.

Hi,

My name is Sid Bhave and I recently completed my HSC in 2009.

I will be offering tutoring in Chemistry and 2U Maths, as I enjoyed those subjects, as such have a thorough knowledge of both subjects. I achieved 90's in both subjects and am ranked 1st.

My approach to tutoring will place emphasis upon understanding of core concepts and a refinement of previously known knowledge rather than pure memorizing. This will ensure the student is able to apply their knowledge and answer a wide variety of questions (as was the focus in HSC 2009).

I feel that it is up to the student regarding the frequency and duration of tutoring sessions, (1 to 2 hours is generally preferred). Also, times can be rearranged from week to week as I have a very flexible schedule.

Tutoring will be offered at either my place (Kellyville Ridge) or the following locations
- Rouse Hill library
- Castle Hill library

I've attended many tutoring colleges and private tutors over the years and know what they lack and require, as a student who only finished recently I can provide you the best assistance whenever required.
