    Do I leave centre-based tutoring for private?

    Check out Evolutionary Tutors. They offer a much more personalised one-to-one service which I think you will find more beneficial. Group tutoring can be good for some people, but private tutoring is more effective in filling your knowledge gaps.

    Advanced English tutor

    IMO you'd be better off spending a little extra and getting a tutor that is qualified + has really excelled in the subject. Even if you did fortnightly lessons instead of weekly lessons I think your results would be better. Check out Evolutionary Tutors.
