    Me and my mate were in the same boat, and we both ended up doing English Advanced for the prelim year, but at the end we both dropped to standard. Come the HSC we both got 81 in standard english, with ATARs of 92.80 and 96.50. Standard English was a lot less work, with around half the texts...
