Good point haha!
For some IT subjects such as ISOD or BPITS .. start of semester 100 people in the lecture. 4 weeks in .. you'll be lucky to see 30 odd :)
Bah, its not hard. It all depends on what you studied in the HSC. I had never done business statistics before (at school etc) so that subject nearly killed me.
For core IT subjects, lectures would have around 80-120, with the tutorials around 30ish.
For business subjects, the lectures are a lot bigger. The standard "Accounting for Business" lecture has around 450 people. It really depends on the subject.
USB keys or portable hard drives people ... backup backup backup!
I actually backup via a secure channel to a server at my work! So all my files can be restored in case my laptop screws up or worse .. gets stolen.
Database fundamentals? Bah - easy stuff. The practical exam is 3 questions and takes less than 10 minutes. (Mind you I did get one wrong, but eventually conviced the lecturer that the solution to question 3 that I provided did indeed work :P)
If your not a networking person and don't know what an ethernet packet or IP address is, the networking essentials can be tricky.
Other than that, study hard and you will be right :)
Good luck for those who submitted applications for BIT - its a great program :)
If all else fails, do Buscomp and get some business skills - its a 4 year degree but gosh its worth it.
