Yeah, i'm really stressing out about this though. All I can really do now is explain my situation when I get there, and see if after the BA session at 11am I can go down to the Taxation office, hand in an application and get the certificate, then come back to USYD and get it all sorted out...

Yep, that's the position i'm in, a couple of points from Arts at Sydney, so I need to choose between Arts at UNSW or Arts & Sciences to transfer from, I know I could do pretty well in either, but need to figure out who to ask at Syd about the transfer requirements et al. Since Arts & Sciences...

Has anyone who applied to EAS heard anything from USYD yet?

What is the reputation of UTS? I have it on my preferences as number 5 or 6 or something, but I really don't know much about the school, what it's like or what people think of it.

Seconded, I probably will have to choose either a very similar course in a different school to transfer from, or a slightly different one in the same school, and just can't seem to figure out with any certainty what will make the transfer more likely and easier.

Thats what I want to know too - I get it's cut-off for 05 was low because it was a new subject, but can anyone make any sort of projection as to just how much it might rise, i'm just worried about it going up more than 5, i'm assuming because it seem so low there will be a bit of demand for the...

I'll also probably be doing B of Arts & Sciences at Sydney hoping to transfer to B Arts as soon as possible, I got 80.75, i'm still going to have Arts as my first preference and do whatever else I can to get straight in, but i'm not holding my breath, just gotta hope that the B A&C cut-off...

Thanks for that. I studies the UAC book pretty carefully but somehow completely missed that. I think i'll certainly have to put it onto my preferences list. Would probably be a decent point to transefer to a full Arts or Science course at Sydney too. I think. *will check out the transfer forum*

How hard is it to transfer from a uni with a lower cut-off like UNSW to a higher one? And at what point can it be done? End of each semester? year? ?
