im finding a second related for my mod C
is a newspaper article type thing ok?
http://content.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1957088,00.html
its from time but im not sure
so in a selective rank 6 would they mark more harshly during internal assesments?
and how would they compare with the state?
i'm not doing great in english all my marks are around 11-12 out of 15 (also probs worst subject)
but then other people are like it's completely fine, if you went to...
i do 2u maths which i am horrible horrible at
but i also do bio and chem which im both pretty good at
i was advised against doing chem because people said that it involved a lot of maths and that you'll only be good at it if your good at maths but that doesn't seem to have been the case
which textbooks should i get to practice more math questions
i normally understand the concepts but when it comes to exams i don't do really well because i find it difficult to apply to harder questions
so textbooks with more advanced questions?
at school we're using jones and couchman...
i'm interested in going to melbourne uni to do bachelor of science (mainly melb just because i want a change of scene)
but i feel as though science isn't really seen as a good degree because it has a lower atar for entry (83-85) (selective school)
but i don't really know what i want to do yet...
With our first HSC Assessment 1 exams coming up how is everyone preparing?
I've read so many times to study for about an hour and take like a 5 min break but I find that once I start I just keep going and if I take a break I just lose my concentration.
Does anyone else get this and is it 'bad'?
i was playing around with atar calculators and decided to plug in my preliminary report marks to see what I would get
it said 73.45
that being said though I didn't really try very hard in year 11 and now I regret it.
I'm really worried about how well I'll do this year
English and Maths...
At the moment I'm doing
English Advanced
Maths (2 unit)
Chemistry
Biology
Music
Music Ext
I have a total of 11 units but my eleventh is from music extension which just kinda tacked onto the end. I was looking at atar calculators online and things and it seems no matter how I good I...
We only did module 2 of industrial chem and kinda learnt equilibriums at the same time? I'm confused on the order we are learning things in and I personally prefer to do things in order so I like to have the syllabus as a guide so I can tick things off and be sure that I've covered everything...
i only do 2 unit maths and I don't go to tutoring, don't have that great a teacher and I myself am horrible at maths
what I've been doing so far this year is basically learning whatever we do in class and then I go to scribd and I got the cambridge textbook and do the questions that are in there...
we kinda discussed this in our english lesson today
we were discussing our first english exam which is the oral on belonging
our teacher said that even in an oral exam it is better not to use them as it can make your presentation seem too informal, but if you choose them you have to use them...
I want to start writing out my notes for chemistry but I have an issue
at school we are learning the syllabus in a weird order
we started with module 2 of our optional topic (industrial chemistry) with 2 dot points from another topic
now we are going back and doing 9.5 the acidic environment...
today I accidentally didn't go to class because I was really looking forward to my period and then I got my timetable mixed up so I kinda had 2 free periods because of this.
I really didn't want to miss the class that I did because it was one that had a lot of content.
I feel so bad right...
If anybody else here is doing music extension I need your help!
I can't think of a topic that I want to do, has good information and I think I'll be able to adequately research and do well in.
At the moment I am thinking of doing folk music and its influence in music of different cultures...
I'll be doing about 2 hours each night hopefully, until the workload gets heavier
for most of my subjects this seems like a good amount to get started with
and how are you planning to study for english each night?
for my other subjects I'm fine but I'm stumped for what to actually do for...
