    Or alternatively, if you want to be subtle, go donate blood together. They check the blood for all that stuff (especially if you tick 'new partner - since last donation'). Then you never even need to ask, plus you're giving to the community. Only problem is this way takes a while....

    I'm not sure, but from what i've read, if the package does go ahead, all (citizens and PR, sorry internationals) students (undergoing "training" - so not school students) get it, regardless of whether they are on centrelink payments or earnt XYZ last year. I'm going to look into it further now...

    That's what credit ratings, and high interest rates (RBA control's the cash rate, banks create their own *competitive* interest rates, varying for various uses, mortgages, savings etc...)
