What is a Video conference class?

Not much different to having a lecturer in front of you :-) Sometimes you're even closer than you would be in a regular lecture or tute! Just like any other class, it all depends on your attitude and how much you engage yourself with the class :-)

What is a Video conference class?

Ooh exciting! You will go to class in a video conference room or classroom. The rooms I have seen generally have two large flatscreen tvs - one will generally show content such as Powerpoints etc and the other will generally show the video conference itself. The video conference screen will...

ACU Orientation 2010 - New facebook group

I've started an unofficial group for First Years (and not so first years) at Australian Catholic University in 2010: ACU Orientation 2010 | Facebook Whether you're at Strathfield, North Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Ballarat or Melbourne, a big warm welcome to ACU :-) Introduce yourself and...

    Bachelor of education (primary)

The course would be as "internationally recognised" as any other similar degree in Australia due to the Australian Qualifications Framework. As far as being able to teach overseas, it would depend on the requirements of the country you want to teach in and the type of position/teaching you are...

    Homosexuality in Australia

    1. Please come up with some points as to why YOU should be able to get married. 2. Should opposite sex marriage be legalised? 3. Why should you be able to marry the person you love when I can't? After you have answered these questions, your right to marriage will then be put to a vote...

    Homosexuality in Australia

I want to marry my long-term partner. I am denied that right because my partner is female. I love her and want to spend the rest of my life with her. I want our commitment and our love to be recognised by the state in a ceremony for the same reasons that straight people want to marry their...

    Homosexuality in Australia

A great video that answers "is homosexuality a choice?" from the video "For the Bible tells me so": YouTube - Homosexuality: Is It A Choice? [For the Bible Tells Me So]

    Homosexuality in Australia

This is an abridged copy of a post I have posted elsewhere in this forum. It is here for the person I was discussing with to continue that discussion in this more appropriate thread. It was in reference to the same Soulforce link I posted earlier. ************************************ My reading...

    Homosexuality in Australia

I think they dealt with that very extensively actually. Have another read. You will find that they state that the Bible does not condemn gay people nor homosexual sex per se. They address those verses which have been erroneously used to condemn homosexual sex.

Friends of gAyCU now on Facebook!

I don't want to disrail this thread into a discussion on "homosexuality". There are other threads for that. This thread is an announcement thread about a group of students that accept and don't judge or discriminate against people that are gay. That said, I think its important that I address...

    Acu

Congratulations 2009_xo! I'm on Strathfield campus but I have friends on Brisbane. ACU in general is really friendly uni, you'll start to make friends right away. It's a small uni so you get to know people quickly. Make sure you participate in the Orientation activities on your campus, it's a...

As much as I'd love to pull apart your post, seeing as you're already banned, I'll just direct any who is reading this to some recent news stories and the Catholic Church's actual teaching (as so many assume what the Church teaches with never actually reading anything). Recent statement from a...

Friends of gAyCU now on Facebook!

Catholic Social Teaching does not reject people that are gay, only the so called acts. Many Catholics disagree with this teaching. ACU is a public university open to ALL, regardless of faith, or lack thereof, and regardless of sexual orientation or gender expression. Gay Catholic or Gay...

    Homosexuality and ACU

There are just as many gay people at ACU as in the general community. Their profile is perhaps a little lower as many are doing teaching and want to work in Catholic system. There are "conservative" Catholics but in general they're not bad people and aren't going to call down fire and...
