I have been unable to find solutions to this question. It is one of the extension questions in exercise 1B on inverse trigonometric functions. Question 22: Given that a2 + b2 = 1, prove that the expression tan−1(ax/(1-bx)) - tan-1((x-b)/a) is independent of x.
