Instead of Providing Yearly B6's for ATAR Estimates, Why Don't We Also Look at Historic Averages [Suggestion]

I was thinking about just yesterday. Typically in this case the skew would predominantly negatively skewed. For example, if we imagine a class which does Subject A, and let the average be 80. Last rank would typically be a very low number, say in the 30's whilst rank 1 will be usually 98~. Even...

Instead of Providing Yearly B6's for ATAR Estimates, Why Don't We Also Look at Historic Averages [Suggestion]

I guess another way to know the averages is to do some OSINT, and find if your school uploads them publicly. Something like, "[Insert school here] HSC Results [Year]"

Instead of Providing Yearly B6's for ATAR Estimates, Why Don't We Also Look at Historic Averages [Suggestion]

Yup seems like only public schools (non, partial and fully selective) works as of now. Also I accidentally filed a report instead of commenting, whoops my bad...

Instead of Providing Yearly B6's for ATAR Estimates, Why Don't We Also Look at Historic Averages [Suggestion]

REMINDER TO EVERYONE: DONT SEARCH FOR THE SUBJECT, SEARCH FOR YOUR SCHOOL!

Instead of Providing Yearly B6's for ATAR Estimates, Why Don't We Also Look at Historic Averages [Suggestion]

Apparently only works for schools with a cohort with greater than 10 students, apparently no one (besides us) does SDD T-T...

Instead of Providing Yearly B6's for ATAR Estimates, Why Don't We Also Look at Historic Averages [Suggestion]

Ooops, I think nesa's doing it for some privacy reasons for schools below a certain threshold

Instead of Providing Yearly B6's for ATAR Estimates, Why Don't We Also Look at Historic Averages [Suggestion]

TL;DR: Find out your school's average cohort HSC mark at https://hscscalinggraphs.au/rankingsearch.html to possibly provide extra detail when doing asking for an ATAR estimate. THERE ARE LIMITATIONS THOUGH. So short story short, I recently stumbled upon a SMH article by the name of, "Meet the...

UNSW CS + Arts vs UTS Cyber Security + Criminology?

Aha, I've seen that going through the course handbook myself. Though I've asked a couple friends who do Comp Sci in UNSW and they've mentioned majoring in comp sci is basically useless. I was told the default course allows you to have a greater sense of freedoming by picking your units and...

UNSW CS + Arts vs UTS Cyber Security + Criminology?

Just looked at it, seems like a pretty practical experience. I'm worried this study/work opportunity might be not up to the standard of the known "tech" universities, but I'll dig more at it. And maybe attend some physical open days!

UNSW CS + Arts vs UTS Cyber Security + Criminology?

Canberra... T-T. Nah I think I'll stay with syd. Damnnnnnnn, this makes it like really hard for me to choose. This definitely makes me consider UTS more. I feel like its a very practical university compared to UNSW which is highly theoretical, though to a degree I can see the benefits of that...

UNSW CS + Arts vs UTS Cyber Security + Criminology?

I need help deciding, so I would love some input! For some context; - I'm very unsure about Arts/Criminology, I will most likely major in Criminology for arts in UNSW but I feel like these courses are more to support my aspirations to work in cyber security - I'm interested in having a fun...
