    Graph

    If |a| = b then a = +/- b :-)

I'd like to take that wink in a suggestive manner... But it's pretty much impossible in this case. *sigh*

    Intergra.

You could always try substitutions like x= sqrt(94)sin@ for the first one and x= 2sec@ for the second. Or take out a minus and use x= 2sin@, which might be easier.

    COMPLEX NUMBER mix TRIG

:P It would be kinda cutting off your own nose to spite your face though...

    I Am Scared.

Hehe. Better drink up! It'll be legal next year, and there's no fun in that. :P I'm getting through this year by thinking that I'm not the first person to do the HSC. Plenty of people have gone through the tomfoolery of it all before. And some of them have managed to come out normal and well...

    help with speaking

Check out the speaking in the standards packages, your school should have them on its computers, to see what you're aiming for. Also, our teacher gave us a list of some commonly asked questions. I found that really helpful preparing for my yearly. And about the lying... you definitely don't...

If you are in year 11, read this first.

I think you've gotta care a little too, about the maths that is.

    Class of 2007: Roll Call

Yep, that's basically the plan for anyone who wants to do it that way. But I think most of us are pretty happy already.

Chemistry Class of 2007: Roll Call

As late as I may be, we're doing Shipwrecks. Which while it may not be riveting is mostly about corrosion, isn't it? And that's alright by me.

    Class of 2007: Roll Call

Yay! Physics! ... But to tell you the truth I don't know what option we're doing. I think our teacher was tossing up between astrophysics and quanta to quarks. I think they usually do astrophysics, but he's given us the choice to study whatever we want independantly. Yay! Flexibility!

    The whole 0.999...=1 argument

Wait a second! I have an avatar for this! I'll leave as a pic though. Sorry, it's not adding much to the discussion, but forgive me. It's not everyday something this specific becomes so utterly appropriate. Oh, and I <3 xkcd. :-D

    4 unit maths terms...joking :)

I love my teacher's method for getting us to remember the pythagorean identities, "A tan makes for one sexy body," and my favourite "One in a cot makes for some cosy sex." Although he said never to repeat those... so I'm hoping he's not lurking around here somewhere... *glances furtively...

    quick help

    The proof gets a bit dodgy towards the end... but you get the idea (hopefully :P.) P(x) = x^3 - x +3 Let p+ q.sqrt(m) be a root of P(x) Where p and q are non-zero rational numbers and m > 0 (so that sqrt(m) is real) 0 = P(p + q.sqrt(m)) 0 = (p + q.sqrt(m))^3 - (p + q.sqrt(m)) + 3 0 = p^3 +...

Comparison of Maths Ext 2 books

Circle geometry makes me cry too. ZOMG! There's a spam smily! :spam: Sorry, I was looking for a crying one... Anyway... To me the most important thing for senior maths is understanding. Formulae and methods are tools, useful and necessary, but you've still gotta know how to apply them...
