    Q 4b - Volumes

    Um guys, doesnt the question say "*vertical* cross sections perpendicular the the y-axis", as in, the height of the square would be (1 - y) and the width would be dx?? Which all up makes the Volume 16/15 units ^3

    Probably the easiest way to do this question would be to recognise that the points in the question are the foci, then find that the locus has to pass thru 3i and 10 + 3i which means the centre would be at 5 + 3i, so the max y has to have Im part of 3i

    Who thought the diagram was 3D?

    Most of the people I've spoken to about the exam (myself included) thought the diagram was 3D, about half figured out it was actually 2D. Terrible question if the biggest issue with it was the number of dimensions

    In the marking centre, the table of ten teachers are given all the scripts from one school One teacher marks all the scripts from a school, then the papers are double marked They tend to not like it when they read the exact same essay on 100 different scripts, thats all The way to beat...
