Uh, I can do that? Just plain division.

That quickly to so many decimal places?

If so, looks like he isn't the fastest then.

Lol that isn't that immpressive. The long division one is really simple, you know 7 goes into 923, 131 times, with 6/7 left over. So all he needs to know is 6/7 as a decimal and add it on the end of 131, which isn't hard to remember.

Same here.

7. ## Re: Fastest human calculator on earth!

Also I don't look for those tricks, just do it normally. To be fair, didn't watch video. :P

8. ## Re: Fastest human calculator on earth!

Also if anyone wants to know how he did the last one:

Find cube root of 912673.

1) It's obviously a 2 digit number.

2) It's also obvious that $\left \lfloor \sqrt[3]{912} \right \rfloor = 9$. So the first digit is 9.

3) It ends in a 3, so the second digit can only be a 7.

Those brackets with the tiny lines at the bottom mean the "floor value" of the answer. Which is you take the answer without regard to the decimal. ie - $\left \lfloor 9.6 \right \rfloor = 9$.

13. ## Re: Fastest human calculator on earth!

Keep in mind that it's not getting the answer, but the speed at which it is done. While the tricks show how it is done, it is still the speed he's developed that makes it impressive.

14. ## Re: Fastest human calculator on earth!

Also something cool is that 1729 is the lowest number that can be expressed as the sum of 2 different sums of 2 cubes.

$9^3 + 10^3 = 1729$

$1^3 + 12^3 = 1729$

I can do it that fast too..... (so can spiral).

16. ## Re: Fastest human calculator on earth!

I don't think that the fact he can do them is amazing, it's the speed at which he does them.

EDIT:

While I believe it can be done, I'm hesitant to believe you can currently do it.

I think the fact that people can do maths is amazing.

It's really not that hard.

tbh I don't think you could do it that fast.

You can defs do it, but not that speed imo.
