How do you store handouts and sheets from class???

Do you store sheets in a filing system or just leave them in your book??

What would be the most effective when it comes time to study??

Re: How do you store handouts and sheets from class???

I have a plastic sleeve folder or a display folder for my subjects that I get a lot of sheets in. Then when I finish the topic, I take them out of that folder and then put then in a giant binder folder organised by subjects at home. I never put them in my book because I hate gluing things in and just shoving them in the back breaks my books.

In my books I write my notes and then just glue in or slot in the sheet as it is relevant to that area/topic. It can get messy though :/

This would be probably too much of a hassle for most of you guys, but I use this:

    https://evernote.com/

I scan handouts (got an awesome scanner that does 20 pages a min) and place them + word files into Evernote, I can access them from any PC that has an evernote account as well as from my phone and the evernote website =) Although tbh I'm too lazy to use it properly, always end up just scanning a whole chunk of sheets at the end of the term.

Re: How do you store handouts and sheets from class???

In year 11 I used a folder for all my subjects which I would clean once a week and put in my folders at home

However, since I got my laptop now, I just scan it unless its a large booklet

I do this, so even notes taken in class, I have on lined paper so it's straight into the folder and sheets fit in the perfect place every time. Makes it super easy when studying because I don't two separate things with me (book + display folder), it's all in the one place. And I'm less likely to lose things.

I use a lever arch folder for the notes, but I summarise each subject in a word document on my laptop
