    charge carriers versus electric charge

Hi, have I got this concept correct? that charge is a matter of positive or negative which exerts an electric force of repulsion if they are like charges or attraction if they opposite charge, whereas charge carriers are particles that have the ability to carry charge around as they move for instance a conductor such as a metal.

    Thanks

Electric Charge - property of matter that makes it experience a force when put in an EM field.

Charge Carriers - particle that carries an electric charge. (Electrons, Protons, Ions)
