Why does life seem so hard?

I'm just an average teenage boy who can't make up his mind about what he wants to do after finishing school. Everything seems so scary.Things like meeting your parent's expectations and not having a feeling of regret after you decide what you want to do.

Re: Why does life seem so hard?

Not everyone has a clear objective about what they want to do at this point in life. MANY people switch degrees or careers (The expected average is 11 different careers [Not just jobs] in your lifetime).

Parents expectations can be overwhelming depending whether you want to achieve what they expect. They care for you, which is the main reason they want you to perform at the highest level you can, even if that seems out of reach right now.

So keep pushing forward, and try to establish some sort of goal, it'll make life ahead seem less uncertain.

You're going to be making a lot of life decisions when you're finished with school.
Many people choose to go to uni, many choose to go to tafe, many choose to work, many choose a professional sporting career.

Now people say that you should make a clear choice and stick to it, and that you shouldn't be a drifter. While that may be true, sometimes you'll just have to experience many random things in life (part-time work, travelling, learning new things in general etc) for you to realise what you're truly capable of in order to make that choice.

Even if you realise in hindsight that it your decision wasn't optimal, just take it as a learning experience, and hopefully come up with a better plan. We've all done something we regret haha.

Re: Why does life seem so hard?

    it's gonna be ok bro

if you're still unsure but sure you wanna go to uni, chose a very flexi degree like arts or science

that way you can figure out what you want to do and then transfer into the appropriate degree when the time comes, and some of your units will count in your new degree so you won't be delayed that much

or take a gap year, travel, work etc
