you are exactly right. by doing such a thing you are readily admitting that your own interpretations of good and bad are above that of god. so, as a christian you should be bound by the words of the bible, both the old and new testaments. you cannot pick and choose what you want to follow.
if you read above you can see the many hypocrisies of the bible, or alternatively you can watch the video i linked.
Because up until a few hundred years ago, it gave an answer to something that had no other answer. Of course, by the time logical, rational though and science came around and was able to explain things without the need of Gods, it was already too big and people are to close minded to give it up.
I hope Harry potter is still around in 2000 years, it taught me a lot more then the bible or any religion did.

yes
naziism felt 'right' for a lot of people too. please let that sink in, people were literally willing to lay down their lives for this cause. it was not something they took lightly. we have the tools of logic, science and reason to make rational decisions, not just what 'feels right'.

I have made a rational decision, I'm not just doing it because it 'feels right'. I said that because after I've told you the evidence for my beliefs you were still questioning them. It is also something that I feel is right but please dont think that im just blindly accepting everything. Ive had questions and the answers I've found have satisfied me. I still have questions but I'm keeping on looking for the answers too. Im not just pushing it all away like you guys because it just seems impossible illogical or i cant be bothered with it or anything.

The Quran is basically a book of hell. If you dont do this you go to hell if you dont do that you go to hell. It also has some ridiculous teachings aswell.
Its still around because people have a fear of being punished eternally in a burning fire. Whereas my bible teaches there is no hell.
