Conflicting Perspectives Related Texts

Anyone have any ideas of what I could use to link with Julius Caesar? I know that most texts have some sort of conflicting perspective but I need something interesting and easy to link to JC....

SIEV X is a really good conflicting perspective subject...

its about a boat of refugees that sunk in 2001..
some people think the Aus government had ships nearby and did nothing to prevent...but the Aus government remain certain that they were not involved in the refugee scandal.
look it up if you like, its interesting and provides 2 good perspectives

Look up the pictures "The Conciliation" by Benjamin Duterrau
and "The National Picture" by Geoff Parr.

The National Picture is an appropriation of The Conciliation, and I used them to link to the conflicting perspectives within JC. If you need more help with it, send me a PM.

I think that's a good suggestion- it shouldn't be too hard to search two opposing news articles.

I was going to do this but my teacher said i have to find a feature article, not just a news article!
But my teacher called up the BOS about using Plath's poetry to see if it was cool, but they haven't got back to her.
Edit: Oh yeah and if anyone can suggest any related texts that preferbly relate to Birthday Letters and relationships it would be deeply appreciated

I don't know exactly what the name of this film/supplementary is, however this scene looks pretty promising for conflicting perspectives/JC.

There's always the option of doing Plutarch - Lives or The Fall of the Roman Empire. It's similar, but Plutarch often has a different perspective on events than Shakespeare, some of them noticeably so. The first that comes to mind is Plutarch's very different portrayal of Brutus. If you're going to use more than one related text, it probably doesn't hurt to do one that directly relates to Julius Caesar, ie. Plutarch or a film version.

Hmm, if I was you I would choose the second one. You should try that one, then if it's too hard go for the first one.

But why can't you do both? We have to have two that relate. If it doesn't say how many you should definitely do both.

Technically, should be two related texts. But usually, they go in the question: "Using at least one related text....".

Given the influx of people doing newspaper articles, I'll probably use a novel or something. To Kill A Mockingbird?

I want to use the movie vantage point as my related text. My set text is Snow Falling on Cedars. I just went looking for a text that used the technique of multiple POVs.
Still have yet to see if i can actually write a 5min speech on it though (thats my assess task for this module)

well this is one of the related text i'm using. its about the gaza conflict and all.
i tend to swing towards the visual text cause they're the easiest- don't have to read anything/ watch anything or really do anything just stare at it long enough and you'll find techniques. i love them too cause all you have to do is describe the image and your analysis and techniques fit in into that description.
