I'm wondering whether to address the next letter - if there will be one - to Stephen Parkes instead of 'GIPA Co-Ordinator'.

which is why i'll be sure to visit the site next year when this stuff comes out.. so make sure u guys post them!

besides i could guesstimate my raw marks which shouldnt be too different from last years anyway

If he's the one who signed your acknowledgement letter, then it's only polite...

I actually think he signed it - with a pen! It's blue and it stands out.

It's a nice touch, and a far cry from other letters I receive in which pixelation can be seen... or the fading due to photocopying.

Unless you're like my school principal - who has a signature that is the same every single time - but appears to be written with ink. So to this day, I'm still not sure if he pastes his own signature into the document or if he signs it himself with pen...

Generally if it's not a standardised or automatically generated letter it's signed with a pen - I've even gotten signed letters from Centrelink before. I really dislike the obviously pixellated ones though.

You can get signature stamps now as well though. So it could just be someone else using one of those.

It's an FOI officer in a small agency (IIRC it's ~100 staff) so that's quite unlikely really.

(edit: I had to check - 216.1 full-time equivalent staff, plus 578 FTE markers... wow, that's a lot of markers... still a fairly small agency by public service standards.)

Got my package today. They rejected my request for the band cutoffs though.
I asked them to put it on a CD as well so I might zip it up all up and post it somewhere.

I've got my e-copies of all the stuff I requested. You all should be successful in getting your information as well. I'll post my results up soon; pretty lolworthy marks in some subjects.

So.. what the heck are raw marks? External + Internals divided by 2?

and why would they inflate your raw mark? whats the purpose?

Raw marks = what you get in the HSC when they are freshly marked.

If your trials were the HSC, your 'raw mark' is what you got for the trials.
