I didn't enjoy Harry Potter until 3. I hated the first 2, though it could be because I honestly didn't warm to the series until about 2007 and the first 2 are rather.. simple?
Books 3 and 4 are my favourites

    So boring.

Nup. I've enjoyed a few fantasies in my day (deltora quest and Roald Dahl books were the gr8est), and I've read a few murder mystery-like things, but I just didn't enjoy the constant mapping of shit in Shining without any actual content, and I just found HP boring.

Yeah, I didn't think I ever read in primary school, and then I remembered all the Deltora Quest, Goose Bumps, etc. and Roald Dahl books.

Did you know they made Deltora Quest into a tv show? (it's pretty shit)

I loved deltora quest a lot, didnt mind the anime version (though it wasnt anything special, really good animation technique in parts though) but only seen a few eps so far.

Re: Your top 10 ultimate favourite books

    1) Definitely the Harry Potter series (Fave book is the last one)
    2) The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and Six More (anything written by Roald Dahl is awesome!). Paul Jennings was really good too. Oh and how can any of us forget the Goosebumps series?
    3) The Time Traveller's Wife
    4) The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
    5) Of Mice and Men
    6) Rabbit Proof Fence.
    7) Various novels about Astronomy.
    8) I can't remember the title but it was a book about the works of Leonardo Da Vinci.
    9) The works of Vincent Van Gogh.
    10) The Book Thief.

    In no particular order:
    -Slaughterhouse 5
    -The Crucible
    -Nineteen Eighty-Four
    -Catch-22
    -The Great Gatsby
    -Company
    -Fight Club
    -East of Eden
    -Of Mice and Men

I'll probably end up adding a few more after my holiday reading marathon.

Lol, no, but the Da Vinci Code is a good book (so much bullshit involved which seems hardly plausible to any rational reader, but eh, it was entertaining I suppose). The book was about Leonardo Da Vinci's life and his artwork and his inventions and other scientific breakthroughs such as dissecting a human being and drawing and noting the human anatomy. It was fantastic! It's on my bookshelf somewhere, I'll look for it later on and I'll post the name of it on here.
