I think the difference is that there's less chance of you putting too much/any direct pressure on your spinal column with a low bar squat
In the end, high bar and low bar really comes down to preferences though and what you're back/spine is more comfortable with although each form has their own benefits and disadvantages. From my experience, low bar squatters are exactly as Lolsmith said, those with back problems so they prefer to reduce the pressure on their spinal column.
intredasting ah okay, i've been doing high bar since i started and was wondering if there'd be any benefit to switching over to low, guess not and high seems more beneficial for oly lifting and front squats
