I dunno, I write my essays on the spot and so, I gotta think a lot but I still write at an easy and steady pace - getting around 850-900 words per essay.

Yeah, I just remember some quotes, the key themes and already have a solid understanding of the text then just do the essay.

I've found that during my practice essays, I've averaged around 900-1000 words - guess my hand has just got used to the strain :P

I struggled with getting enough words down since year 11. It didn't hit me that I was that slow until prelims.

Well do you know your content well? The only way you can really improve is just make it the highest quality possible as someone mentioned before :/

Tbh, I sorta gave up on eng these past few days. There's more hope in maths and chem.

Keep trying bro, you never know, there may be a break through. English is also integral to your ATAR but I guess it's importance depends on your aims.

It really is, I gave up about 5 days ago because I was only getting down 850 words in 40 mins. And then I started again (last 5 days, just english, feeling a quite positive about it now - except creative)

so keep trying !

My normal every-day handwriting is perfectly fine obvi, but I might be able to find one of my old booklets from Trials or something that I can post later on tomorrow(or today...o.0)

If not, trust me when I say it was ILLEGIBLE haha. Even I couldnt make it out ffs. But thats what I had to do, and it worked considering I got an HSC Mark of 96 (without sounding conceited)

write with ink pens, they go faster with less friction.
And tie some weights on the end of the pen and write with it. I know it got weights, but in the exam, take them off and you'll find that you'll go faster (esp. with the ink pen)

Dw, mine are like scribbles, it's like 'You either read it, or attempt to read it'
