hey all,
The markers were @ our skool a few weeks ago and we had 24 students do art this year and for the first time in ages not 1 student from my school got preselection for art express next yr.
Who was lucky enough to get preselection???
heaps of people from my school did - theres 5 people that i know of, and i think there may be more! YAY!
Go to the Visual Arts forum if you're curious...
It takes a big man to cry.
It takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.
anyone who gets a mark over 45 gets automatically preselected

there is a girl in my class who DOES NOT DESERVE to get nominated.. and was highly the unexpected candidate to get into art express from our class... (which i think is unfair since her best friend gave her the idea... she cired and complained all year... the teacher helped her alot and the computer did the rest of the work)
however... the marking criteria is different every year... either way, as long as you know you did all you can that is all that matters... good luck.
every mark that gets over 45 gets nominated, they then take it to get marked by the people from the libary, agnsw etc which then decide which ones to pick from their marking criteria... I find it funny that you say 'The computer did all the work', what is the difference between computer generated art and normal art? even if she had no skill with photoshop or something but put some photo's together in an interesting way requiring little skill... what's different to that and people who manually do that?
'Your paintbrush, paints did all the work..'
