thnx for the link
a bit late i know, but try http://www.dailylit.com ..they send a small portion of the book to your email once a day..i guess not great if you want to be immersed in the book..but great if you don't get much time to read (each portion takes about 5mins to read, if that)..or like i did, read a real book, and read another online hehe
i've only read one book from there so far, and i found that i didn't reeeally get into the book, but some days i did, and i would click for more..not sure if that was the mood i was in at the time, or whether the book just wasn't for me..but it's worth checking out i think

ok, so i tend to read massive sagas, which have like ten books in one series. I find it really annoying when I try to find the next book in the library only to find that someone else has it or the library's copy is missing!
You can download whole series at one go from this site + individual books as well. It's got THOUSANDS of books in HUNDREDS of genres
enjoy =)

Just do a google search on 'ebooks' or 'free ebooks' and you'll turn up a tonne.
I got heaps of books over the net on mininova.org in the form of torrents. I downloaded the whole Twilight series there
Here's another website I'd like to share:

That's an awesome book, and short enough that you can comfortably read it on a computer in one sitting. I bought the physical version thoughOriginally Posted by anti

I saw Wedding Crashers, accidentally. I bought a ticket for Grizzly Man and went into the wrong theatre. After an hour I figured I was in the wrong theatre but I kept waiting. That's the thing about bear attacks, they come when you least expect it.
Is there an ebook version of the sequal to this (The Religion War)?Originally Posted by anti
A Cup of Tea
Nan-in, a Japanese master during the Meiji era (1868-1912), received a university professor who came to inquire about Zen.
Nan-in served tea. He poured his visitor's cup full, and then kept on pouring.
The professor watched the overflow until he no longer could restrain himself. "It is overfull. No more will go in!"
"Like this cup," Nan-in said, "you are full of your own opinions and speculations. How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup?"
He didn't release it freely. I reckon its worth buying though, it's fairly cheap and its good. But I'll pretty much enjoy anything Scott Adams writesOriginally Posted by P_Dilemma

they're all imbedded .rars though so you need to save the pictures as .rar and extract files using winrar
Many people do. Its kinda easy to get hold of popular books without buying it or getting a ragged brown copy from the library (or none)
SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides is a pretty good website.
If they don't have the original copy of the story, they usually put up a chapter-by-chapter summary.
I bet those ebooks don't provide military training or classified information do they?
I never knew that. I only found out books could be read without holding a book when I saw the iphone apps add. Lol, i'm so behind the times.
There are devices such as these that (while not available in stores in Aus, can be bought online) that act very much like a personal, portable library contained in one book - there is a single screen that displays the page. They don't use back-lit screens, but a special technology called "e-ink". You may have heard of the "Kindle" - this is one of these devices, which are becoming increasingly popular in the US. That is how many people deal with reading ebooks, or they use their smart phones.
I myself am looking forward to a look at the new iRex DSG and Plastic Logic's Que - both to release at the CES conference in the US January 2010 -and hopefully will be getting mine before May 2010 (oh please). Unless Apple decides to release a model in 2010 (there are tiny rumours).
fictionbooksbay.com but you need a torrent client
i get so many good books from there..
