Hi

If you are interested in doing a PhD in Psychology, you will need to complete a four year psychology degree, which will entitle you to apply for a Master of Psychology or Psychologist Registration program. After you have completed 6 years in psychology, you may consider a PhD in the field.

ACAP's Counselling courses will not qualify you as a Psychologist. You may articulate into a Graduate Diploma of Psychology at ACU National once you have completed our Bachelor of Applied Social Science (Counselling) but please keep in mind that these two qualifications are equivalent to only 3 years undergraduate psychology. You will still need a fourth year in psychology before you will be considered for a Master of Psychology or Psychologist Registration.

ACAP offers a Psychologist Registration program for people who have a four year psychology degree.

I hope this helps! If you wish to speak with one of our course advisors please call us on 1800 061 199.

Best Regards
