It never asked for the most heat though, it said most rapidly.

But wouldn't the saucepan with high resistance produce more heat from eddy currents hence heat up faster?

But doesn't higher resistance result in more heat generated?
EDIT: I'm confused even more now.
If the metal has high resistance then less eddy currents will flow through it.

Edi: and thus less heat being produced by resistive heating

P(loss) = I^2*R
Assuming V is constant in first equation, looking at the third equation, what do you want to lower in the first equation to increase the P(loss)?


(that's how I did it anyway)
