For the A/A1 question, I used the A=absinC formula and used angle D as C since it was common and they crossed each other out. Is that right? :S
You didnt have to use the A = absinC formula, but yeah they end up crossing out.

you just had to rearrange it so that rt A1 and rt A2 are the subjects of their own equations ie.( rt A1 = x * rt A/(x+y) ) and (rt A2 = y * rt A / (x+y) )
and then when you add both rt A1 and rt A2 they cross out to equal rt A

btw rt = square root

Yeah I did that for the second bit. I used the formula for the first bit

MIF style questions everywhere. This year was definitely easier than last years. And Carrotsticks and Trebla seriously helped me with their hard exam :)

btw was the coordinates of P (1/2 , e)?
Yeah, that's what I got, although after walking out of the exam.

Kept substituting the gradient instead of the full equation and getting:
2e^2x=e^2x, so
2 = 1

I don't know what I was thinking...
I'm bitter. Not sure that it should've been worth 3 marks, it was fairly straightforward.

Very relieved and happy that exam is over. Reading your comments makes me wonder if I got anything right... I was pretty nervous going into that because math is my worst subject :( Luckily I do 12 units!
