I need some help about seperating music file e.g. taking the vocals out of the song

Re: I need some help about seperating music file e.g. taking the vocals out of the so What song/instrument parts are you trying to get? There's some pretty good programs out there that can convert midi files into decent-sounding tracks. And midi files are easy to separate.

It depends on how the piece has been recorded. If the vocals have been done on a seperate track, it's easy to take them out, and there's a lot of different programs you can use. And, what sort of stuff do you want that's recorded to a metronone? I mean, I've just done a music tech assignment...

What do you consider to be 'good' fantasy?

You're one of a very small number of people I've found who share my opinion on that one... Basically though, I tend not to read trashy novels. I admit, Dan Brown was a mistake that I intend never to repeat. Pretty much everything I read and buy is fantasy, so meh. Robert Jordan, Raymond Feist...

    Music 2 Sightsinging

It could be. You'll be able to practise with those once or twice, depending on how good your memory is. When you practise sight-singing on the same pieces you'll start to remember what they are, rather than reading them.

    Singer - jazz song!

What style of jazz? Don't stretch. It's bad for you in the long run :)

    Nervous! What do you do?

I don't know how many people this would actually work for, but... I just take my glasses off. Then I can't see more than about three feet in front of me. :shy: But yes, perform in front of people more. The best way to do this is grab a bunch of friends who wouldn't mind listening to you...

Whats the most amount of pages youve read in a day?

Me too. I read for about 15 minutes and have to give up :( And hey, Nicole, if you've read the rest of WoT have you read the prequel New Spring?

Whats the most amount of pages youve read in a day?

Yeah, I go to the pub or sit in the student cafe making noise, difficult to read while doing that :p Although I do read quite a bit in one of my lectures :p

    What are you currently Reading?

Nineteen Eighty-Four is an excellent book. I'm actually reading two books at the moment, because I left one at home last weekend and had to read something while I was down on the Central Coast. So now I have to finish it. :) So, I'm reading Robert Jordan's Lord of Chaos and Crome Yellow by...

Whats the most amount of pages youve read in a day?

This is true. I'm quite capable of knocking over any of Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time books in a day, when I have the time to do so. The one I'm reading at the moment has 1010 pages, not counting the glossary, and it's in size 9 font. With uni, I've been reading one every 10-14 days or so.

    The Literary Acquisition Thread

Ohhh man, I need to update the books I've bought. I park across from a really great 2nd hand bookshop near uni every tuesday. :D White-doggy, I'm against Dan Brown- To my mind they all have exactly the same plot with different characters and situations.

    Notation Composer!

I don't know anything about MidiNotate Composer, but in other programs such as Acid you're able to render a MIDI file as a wav. or mp3. file. Some programs you can also 'save as' a wav. or mp3. file.

    Electives

I was going to do chem1010, but I was too lazy to drag my ass over to Callaghan to do so. So yeah, if you want to make life easier, don't pick an elective that's at a different campus.

    Ideas for HSC performances

So, what pieces have you chosen already, and what range do you sing in? Are you after something jazz, something music theatre, something 'pop', something 'classical', something else? And why does your profile say HSC 2005?
