well its always best to wait... cos even though there are prescribed textbooks, sometimes some lecturers don't use them. I remember i had a course that had a textbook prescribed, i didn't want to get it yet cos it was really expensive, and when i went to the first lecture, my lecturer was like...

well as i said, im already into 3 years into my 4 year degree, no point in changing degrees now, so im considering doing the diploma, which is just on top of my degree (doesn't affect my degree) or wait til i finish and then do the diploma...
