    Advice for SDD in 08

We had an awesome teacher, which meant I did not once have to pick up a textbook. I summarised and added to the notes he had already formulated. The main thing other than all the theory is being able to do algorithms and draw all the diagrams. In the 2007 HSC Exam, the only marks I lost were on...

    Major Project

I made a scientific calculator in VB, with hex-dec-bin converters etc. I got 99% for it. xD

    Values and attitudes?

Don't forget Context, very important to discuss along with both values and reception.

    Supplementary Texts - Physical

QFT. Also many people have difficulty analysing even simple text, so in many cases I would advise y'all should keep away from films, songs or images if you cannot satisfactorily analyse their techniques.

    Short Story help please-journeys

NEVER write about your life, and unless you are a skilled writer do not write in first person. The markers despise all the "I went to the beach and stuff" stories they get. Devise something that has good character development rather than just a simple plot driven story. The thing with a short...

    Related Text for Physical Journeys

The movie, "Into The Wild" would be a decent option, however I would also advise against doing it, as a) I'm sure plenty of people will use it and b) you have to be good at analysing film/visual techniques.

Guide to Preparing for AoS (Physical Journeys) Paper

Very good guide. I'd also like to reiterate that doing many questions of varying forms is a necessity. Otherwise you might be hit with a question that is worded in a manner you've never seen before, misinterpret it and do average (happened to me in the trials, at least it taught me a lesson...

    Lionheart SUCKS

Lol thread resurrection. Neway, yes it was a terrible book, so bad that after we finished HSC we burnt it. However, it was simple and easy to use and manipulate into any manner of points and ideas. Sup-Texts I used with it were: "The Hobbit" - JRR Tolkein; personally I would advise against...

    General Thoughts - Chemistry

A nice exam, found it easy. The questions were exactly what I was expecting.

    General Thoughts - Mathematics

To be honest I did ****, I found it hard. And I know why, its not that I didn't put effort in, quite the contrary I put alot of effort in, the reason why is because all of our internal assessments were way to easy, like ridiculously easy, and it didn't prepare any of my cohort.

    CSSA Modern History Paper

The "Terror" question for Russia was a gift, I had so many Lewin and Cohen quotes running through my head! I reckon I screwed up the personality question, well one of them. I think I interpreted it wrong. But Meh really, I hate Modern with a passion.

the 'im screwed for modern' thread

I hate Modern, it's terrible. At least I'm good at bluffing and BSing my way through it.

    CSSA paper

    1. a) Was so easy, the vector lines of the road from right to left coupled with the motion of the of the car, which is a symbol of travelling, created a sense of a physical journey. We get A4 paper rather than booklets which is annoying. Bit concerned about the 6 marker, as my analysis was a...

    CSSA Modules paper

Pretty good. The fact that it was all essays was a bonus, I hate adding all the flowery crap. I didn't get Powerplay finished, even though it's possibly my strongest section, because of a slow arm, tired brain and mental block. And I'm not too worried about modern, it's pretty easy to BS and...
