Yep contact hours are around 24 hours per week for a first year. That's not including time to do your online quizzes, assignments and study. The labs take up a good chunk of the contact hours.
Probably best to try and keep up each week although I know people who just cram during the study week...
Your close uni friends are usually the ones where you are all in the same classes together as opposed to those you see maybe one class a week. In engineering, you are in the same tutorials/labs/lectures with the same people for the first 3 years which definitely helps.
I've seen this a few times here but can anyone shed any light if an employer will look at which uni you went to? Or do they moreso look at what grades you got and your personality?
Cheers.
what have you done that would demonstrate leadership qualities?
why did you choose this degree?
what do you think an engineer does (if you are doing engineering)
who has influenced you in your life apart from your parents?
cant remember the rest sorry but good luck.
Not too sure about later years but so far first year doesnt have anything from Motors and Generators. I don't think we've done anything that goes into Motors and Generators a whole lot.
Im doing electrical at UOW first year:
ext 1 is assumed knowledge so as long as you do your homework and take notes in lectures and keep up with the work it shouldnt be that bad. but this is only first year thus far im sure it will get harder.
Uni depends on you, all courses are relatively...
So if I was to transfer from UOW to UNSW in electrical engineering, are the courses similar enough that I can just keep on going 2nd year at UNSW without catching up? I.e I can transfer most of my credit points over?? I think thats what I meant.
