What do you think of your course?

Thanks musk for your reply. UNSW was my other choice, although i think i am leaning towards UTS. Are tutors/lecturers good and helpful? I ask this because my brother did IT at UTS and struck some lecturers who could hardly communicate in english.

What do you think of your course?

Hi, I am tossing up between UTS and another uni for mechanical engineering in 08. What do you think of the engineering faculty? The teaching? The facilities? The course? etc... Thanks :santa::santa:

What do you think of your course?

Hi, I am tossing up between UNSW and another uni regarding mechanical engineering in 2008. What do you current engineering students think of the faculty? Are you satisfied with the teaching? With the subject matter? etc... Thanks

    COOP SCHOLARSHIPS - 2008 - your thoughts

Well i was dissapointed as i was only shortlisted for UNSW engineering (electrical and mechanical) although i was offered one from UTS in mechanical/mechatronic. I dont know what to do really, take the 5 year scholarship from UTS or go with a non scholarship course from the supposedly better uni...

    Post Your UAI's Here

Surprised myself 98.40. Also really shocked (in a happy way) that i got 2nd in the state for engineering studies. WTF is that....

    physics exam

Yeah thats what i did. It would be riduculous if it was .37% as that would yeild a velocity very low. Also, you get full marks if it is evident that you read it wrong but had correct method. OVerall i found the exam pretty easy :)

    How was the test

No you dont. When it is on level ground, all it has is kinetic energy. When it is stopped, it has converted all its kinetic energy into potential energy. Thus KE = PE.

Average raw mark for hsc engineering is...

HOly shit the average is 40%...... i better get a band 6 or i will lose total faith in the nsw education system.

    How was the test

Dont forget, it also said "pressurised". Bearing in mind that a pressurised gas becomes denser, C will apply to this situation. Often, such containers are liquid "gas" (hence "liquid petroleum gas") and emerge from the container as gas, but are liquid in the container.

    How was the test

Not in the syllabus eh? Then why is it that I am currently seeing P=Po + pgh on my equation sheet? I think you'll find that it IS in the syllabus.

    How was the test

    1) is not a, most definetly not. Think about it, if you have a hardened steel and then temper it, you sacrifice some hardness (less hardness) for some more toughness so it is useful (more toughness). 2) is C. Although the difference in pressures would be very little, there still would be some...

    How was the test

Yeah, i was wrong... :( That means I reckon I lost around 8 marks, so I went pretty well. People lose marks in places where they dont think they did in engineering, especially with drawing and somtimes the engineering report and aspects of profession questions. That is why less than 50 people...

    How was the test

I thought it was quite a challenging paper. I agree with prime, except for the batteries - i saw them as all in series, therefore 24v. That winch question I got 1500 (around, cant remember exactly) doing it analytically. The pressures? p1<p2<p3 Cable type? UTP, coaxial, fibre optic

Average raw mark for hsc engineering is...

My teacher (who has marked HSC) said that a band 6 mark is around 85. Ie you get pushed up 5 marks. I got 92% in my trial, and that was hard, being a selective school trial.

    wondering bout course structure...

Quanta to quarks really isnt useful at all (unless you plan to continue with pure physics).... I would say medical physics or the age of silicon can be more readily applied to real life.
