    Help with Integrating Trig functions??

sec^2(sinx)/secx = sec^2(sinx)*cosx If you notice how the expression inside sec^2(sinx) has its derivative (cosx) outside, and let u=sinx, its just an integral of sec^2(u) (if we let u = sinx) which is tan(u), or in this case, tan(sinx) + C

Thinking about taking 10 units as oppose to 12

I think since you said you had the intention of dropping PDHPE, hence the poor performance, its already kind of saying, "I wanna drop it but.." I think you need to wait for your results to come back, see how you went and evaluate whether or not you should drop from there. If you're absolutely...

    Absolutely no motivation??

Use this period of 'ceebs' to recharge your batteries. You guys are only in Year 11 and you have another year and a half before HSC, so don't worry too much if you're not constantly working. You need a period of rest and use this as time to rest up and get ready for the next chunk of the HSC...

    Atar estimate ?

90+ your ATAR will be heavily dependent on externals what external HSC marks are you aiming for?

    Subjects

It might be hard to switch out of Standard, as OP is in Y11. I'm assuming both are in Y11 and well into their English course. At this point, school will probably not let her change. If your friend wants a 90+ ATAR, reverse calculate it on ATAR calculators to see what HSC marks you need...

Should I drop down to General Maths?

I think this mentality depends on what ATAR you're trying to achieve. If you're aiming for 99.95, etc., you probably would consider scaling to some extent, but I disagree that it is a "huge mistake" to not consider it. It can be a mistake to varying extents, depending on what ATAR you're aiming...

    What ranks do I need?

I think the method of you trying to find out ranks via that way is something I would've done. Although, it's not a reliable method because you need to keep in mind the strength of cohorts alter each year. Scaling also changes annually, and is based on the strength of the cohorts. Also, don't...

Help with a Question Moving about YEAR 11!

since its an assess, its best to look at the good and bad aspects of car safety - good: saves lives - crumple zones, seatbelts, airbags all delay the time it takes for the person in the car to come to a full stop, limiting the impact that's forced upon them = less severe injuries; saves money...

Should I drop down to General Maths?

    1. You're only in year 11 - you have plenty of time to improve. From personal experience, there were periods where I hated maths, but after identifying why you hate certain aspects of it and fixing it, it made maths more enjoyable. So find out what parts you don't like, and see if there's any...

Using extension english creative for belonging creative?

In HSC, they won't know because your papers will be marked by different people. However, don't do it internally because teachers can recognise and it can screw you over. As long as both creatives address the syllabus and criteria, run with it. But generally, not recommended.
