    3 DAYS OF SCHOOL LEFT

I've got 3 days + a year left and I'm still freaking out hahaha
  2. Etho_x

what happens if you fail one of your preliminary exams?

I'd think it depends. If you've been physically ill and unable to attend school then your typical misadventure/illness form from the school should be able to cover that and you'll resit your exams at a different date. But clearly, if you're intentionally ditching exams because you don't want to...

    Chem Module 1

Exactly, same thing with me, I feel bad for telling my friends I can't see them because I have to study (they don't particularly study a lot but I'm sure they aren't aiming for high atar's).

    Chem Module 1

But like actually go out and do something fun with your friends, remember your junior years are coming to an end and this is the time where it's most important to make the most of the time you have to get out there and have fun. I regret studying a lot in Year 10 because although I got a head...

    Chem Module 1

Yeah even that's a lot more healthier than spending all your time studying ^
  11. Etho_x

    Chem Module 1

Man you're in Year 10, chill out, study less, and go hang out with your friends.
  12. Etho_x

    Chem Module 1

Welp imagine if you didn't spend your time memorising the periodic table and worked on your math, you may even be ranked much more highly : O
  13. Etho_x

    Chem Module 1

EXACTLY i wouldn't want to spend the last bits of junior years learning which part of the periodic table is where and the exact atomic numbers
  14. Etho_x

    Chem Module 1

Ok fine I take my previous statement back. Yes you will need to know a lot of the elements. BUT you won't need to memorise them to the extent you're trying to.
  15. Etho_x

    Chem Module 1

HEY I said half the time
  16. Etho_x

    Chem Module 1

If you have spare time sure go ahead, but I just don't see the point when half the time you won't even need the elements such as the Lanthanides and the Actinides. Or any element past Calcium for that matter. Of course you'll investigate other elements like Bromine, Iodine, Barium, etc. but you...

    Chem Module 1

So it'll be 13,000 words for Module 1 now?
  18. Etho_x

    Chem Module 1

A knowledge of where the most common elements are on the PT is more like a passive skill which is developed over time through your study of the Prelim/HSC course
  19. Etho_x

    Chem Module 1

Believe me being able to refer to the periodic table faster is kinda useless in itself, as B1andB2 said above you'll have a tendency to rush more which will make you more prone to making mistakes.
  20. Etho_x

    Chem Module 1

My guy you don't get my point. If you're busy memorising unnecessary stuff you're not using your study time effectively to memorise what you actually NEED to memorise.
