How do you give a judgement on a play?

I know that some English teachers are divided on whether or not first person is appropriate in giving your personal judgement of the play, but since it is a critical module, I think it's required. In terms of the ending's significance, why is it so important to the play? Does it have the...

    How necessary is historiography?

It's imperative to use it in part B of your personality study; i'm pretty sure it's a part of the criteria for the section.

    How necessary is historiography?

Not essential at all feldmann. However, I do believe that peppering your response with analysis and synthesis of historiographical arguments can be a good thing and make you stand out. This means you should BOUNCE OFF varying views and, from there, deduce your own conclusions as to how...

    HELP! Arts/law or commerce/law?

I've heard that regarding employability from top tier firms, arts/law and int'l studies/law graduates are the most sought after. I previously thought a finance background would naturally suit a corporate position, but it turns out that the rounded graduate is prioritised - That's not to say...

ncoul's raw marks - Eng. Adv., Drama, Jap. Cont., Legal, Modern

Great Depression. I swear it was the most discursive, nonsensical essay I'd written in a modern exam. I really think the mark came down to my knowledge and synthesis of varying historical arguments and not simply going with AJP Taylor's conventional viewpoint.

ncoul's raw marks - Eng. Adv., Drama, Jap. Cont., Legal, Modern

Haha, looking back over this post, I was a little annoyed when I received the marks back and that definitely translated. My handwritng got progressively worse after trials - I've never received 14.5/20 from HSC markers internally, even with much less preparation. Whatever doe. Cheers for the...

ncoul's raw marks - Eng. Adv., Drama, Jap. Cont., Legal, Modern

I understand that a dedicated thread's been made for raw marks, but there's too many to put into one post. For future students: I really believe that the illegibility of my writing and lack of sleep before the exams (legal and modern especially) severely affected my marks. I encourage you all...

98.70 - Competitive for second year transfer into LLB?

I finished my HSC this year with an ATAR of 98.70, a whole point below the typical cut-off for USYD law. I understand that although the uni stipulates 97+ and a D average for second year transfer, it is much more competitive and viable candidates should be around the 98.50 mark with a HD...
