Just to add to this^ I'm pretty sure if you do get offered solely based on your rurality (i.e. your marks aren't entirely impressive), you will need to serve a bond, which will force applicants to stay in rural areas for work for given period of time. Note that it's really hard to get patients...

For both of the degrees you've mentioned, neither require extension 2 as a prerequisite. Might I add though, your 'poor' performance in Extension 1 is not bad at all dude!! Year 11 is the time to make mistakes, this is the time you are given to tweak those minor inconsistencies in your working...

yeah I think they should most likely increase it to the 96-97 atar range imo. But then again, usually these students who enter via the rural entry scheme are the ones who actually are given offers.

Actually... very little students in rural areas actually get in using those benefits man. Most from even my old school which was ~360 rank achieved 99+ to get into undergrad med. Other students who didn't make it through undergrad (~95-96 atars) had to do postgrad, which I don't think possesses...

💀 😭 Dude it still guarantees a degree at the end of it... its 5 years and you're out man. Is writting that difficult though? I know its kind of tedious given all of this then needs to be transposed back into a computer, but I'd say it'd be pretty helpful to memorise certain aspects of code
