An ATAR of 80 is very achievable with those subjects. Sometimes doing easy subjects is more beneficial in the long run as it is easy to ace them and consequently get a high ATAR. As long as she works hard and puts in the study hours, she should be able to get 80+.

    Stuck with my subjects

Advanced Maths is really hard - maybe consider do you really need to do it? for example is it a prerequisite for the uni degree you're interested in? consider the impact that it will have on your other hsc studies as well - are you doing so poorly that it will drag down your whole atar or stop...

    Course help!!

Keep in mind that Medicine and Law are very long, hard roads and you really should only do them if you're 100% passionate about them. You're only in Year 11 so perhaps take the time to think about it a bit more. My suggestion would be to do a general undergraduate degree in something you're...

    Sor or Legal Studies

Do Studies of Religion!! It actually scales quite well if you do good in it. Just think about it .. easier subject + slightly less content = better chance of doing well Good luck!

Definently extension 2 maths is the hardest, followed by physics and chemistry. Extension English quite hard too.

    Commerce or Economics?

I’d go for either Macquarie or UTS commerce, just in case you don’t get the marks in economics to transfer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

how hard is band 6 in biology

Well PROBABLY but it isn't guaranteed. From my experience it isn't easy to get a band 6 in biology, you have to really know your stuff. I remember doing every past paper multiple choice and getting 18 + in everyone, then in the actual hsc I got 13 because our exam was nothing like the past...

I don’t think so. My parents got TERs in like the 60s or something whereas I got high 90s. Depends on your study routine and motivation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Postgraduate Medicine

I feel like you should do an undergrad degree that provides you with a reasonable career path (such as diagnostic radiography, OT whatever) in case you don’t get into medicine. If you don’t get in what’s your fall back? Not sure you can do much with biomed [emoji17] Sent from my iPhone using...

These subjects aren’t even bad scaling!! Just get high marks and you’ll be fine. I did CAFS which is like the lowest scaling subject ever lol (like even worse than hospitality which is a TAFE subject) but still got 97 atar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Is Cafs good? (YR 11)

Haha I got a 95 in CAFS and in my opinion it was realllyyy easy but that was also good in a way as it was easy to do well in and study for. Honestly with all the pressure of the HSC sometimes it’s good to have a subject like that. Yeh it scales terribly, so if you’re serious about doing well...
