Just got my offer! #1- Ursies! I think they all must be coming through now- good luck to all!

Well, I guess I'm just going to decline the accommodation offer I've got in Melbourne and hope I can get something on short notice if ANU doesn't come through... This isn't a real great situation:mad1:

I know we're guaranteed accommodation somewhere, but the quality of the accommodation will have a big effect on my willingness to go to ANU or not. I don't want to go to ANU if I'm in a UniLodge apartment, because I just don't think I'd be happy. It's tempting just to take an inferior offer so I...

The lady I spoke to on the phone said that if you haven't received an offer by the end of tomorrow, you should give them a call. She said that it's proceeding normally so far though. Not everyone gets an offer at the same time, it's spread out over 24-48 hours I believe. I don't think there's...

I managed to get through to the university accommodation services- they said that it is an "ongoing" process, but most people will have received offers by the end of the day, and it should be complete within 48 hours. I was told that the colleges are still considering applications.

I just rang to try and find out, but was told to call back later as all lines were busy. Damnit I really need to find out soon, I've got an offer for accommodation elsewhere that I need to give a response to.

I don't want to go to ANU unless I get an offer for a spot in a catered college...may be uncatered...definately not Unilodge. Wish I'd applied earlier....I just assumed you couldn't until you had an offer.

Ursula is catered according to the ANU website. I'm planning to put my preferences in this order: 1. Ursula 2. Burgmann 3. Bruce 4. Johns Sound alright for my desires? Cheers

Which catered ANU college would best suit this description: the inhabitants are all sociable and friendly, but there isn't an obsession with getting drunk as much as possible. I'm thinking Ursula Hall? Cheers

Thanks Are there decently priced restaurants/bistros near by? In Melbourne there's places that serve non gourmet meals where you can pretty much afford to eat at every day- anything similiar? I don't mean fast/junk food places. Cheers
