    Integrate e^x with me

^it's correct, but i don't think you can assume it

    Difference between absolute and relative?

i think it would be absolute=the same regardless of the observer, whereas relative=dependent on the observer

    Integrate e^x with me

so how are you supposed to do this question?

    Integration of Exponential Functions

they substituted in 6x2dx = du

    Integrate e^x with me

    so you can't even assume that \int if(x)dx = i\int f(x)dx?
  6. L

    Integrate e^x with me

this is a weird question, for asking you to do the integral in a more complicated way than necessary where is the question from?

    Some Logs/exponential help!

if lna(-4) = b then ab = -4 but a positive number to any real power gives you a number > 0, so unless you're going into complex numbers, the logarithm isn't meaningful for 21. it's easiest to use elnx = x so for a) x = ln2

Differentiation Question (Showing first derivative of something)

so you have (x+1)3 + 3(x+1)2x ..then factorise
  11. L

    Differentiation again.

your other equation comes from the fact that y=-2 when x=1
  12. L

    LOLS me again

you could also just expand them both

    Death Metal!!!

I love 88.5 monday nights^!! except i havent been able to listen to them for ages since i moved :( does it stream anywhere yet?

    induction question

just think of a way to show that, using what you know (what i put above it) that should give you the general method for the induction part
  15. L

    induction question

    a2 + b2 = c2 c > a,b show a3 + b3 < c3 for starters should be able to do it with that
  16. L

    induction question

    wtf@question? a,b,c are...?

    Death Metal!!!

    damnation

    Calculus question

since title says calculus question, i'll expand on that method a bit basically, differentiate x + 1/x to find the stationary point, and then find the second derivative so you can test if it's a min/max/inflection (remembering x>0) you'll find that it's a minimum, and occurs at x=1, which is...

    Calculus question

simplest/most common way is using the fact that (x-1)2>= 0 you could also use calculus
