    Eugenics/Intellectual Discrimination

    I mean in this situation - like, charging someone for having a baby. probably didn't come out how I meant

    Eugenics/Intellectual Discrimination

    imo, don't charge people for having kids. maybe take away the baby bonus or something, except for people who actually are contributing to society and would need the financial help policies that reward the good rather than charging the bad are probably more likely to work

    cells

    but the question was what the valency was, not charge, so it they would have valencies of 2- wouldn't they? though, it's still 2O, not 2O2-

    Eugenics/Intellectual Discrimination

    the ethical/moral thing to do would be to take the necessary action to ensure society does not deteriorate, imo (not making any claims as to what exactly should be done)

    Permutations/Combinations Question

    then you would have more than one meal that isn't chosen, so there has to be 4 that are different from each other, and one that is the same as one of the other 4

    Permutations/Combinations Question

    a) there is 55 = 3125 total ways say the first person chooses a meal, the second a different meal, the 3rd a different meal again, the 4th a different meal, and the 5th chooses a meal already chosen this is done in 5*4*3*2*4 ways = 480 now looking at the last person (the only one who needs to...

    Extension One Revising Game

    I think you mean n! > en; n > 5, or 1/n! < 1/e^n; n > 5 1/1! +... + 1/5! = 103/60 [just adding] 1/6! + 1/7! +... < e-6 + e-7 + ... = e-5/(e-1) [sum of geometric series] putting together gives 1/1! +... + 1/5! + 1/6! + 1/7! +... < 103/60 + 1/e5(e-1)

    Quick limit question...

    as n->∞ pi/2n -> 0 so it's the same thing pretty much (as x->∞, sinx/x ->0 since x keeps getting larger, but sinx doesn't exceed +-1)
  13. L

    Quick limit question...

    well lim n->∞ sin(pi/2n)/(pi/2n) = 1 (2/pi) n*sin(pi/2n) = 1 n*sin(pi/2n) = pi/2 2(n*sin(pi/2n))2 = pi2/2 I think

    Motion Q

    if acceleration were taking to be 10m/s (to make it easier), then after the first second, subbing into equations of motion: dv/dt = 10 v = 10t +0 x = 5t2 (assuming x(0) = 0) v=10, x=5 at this point the second stone is 'dropped' with v=20, ie. velocity 10 higher than the first stone. Since the...

    probabilty questions

    28. I think you would take this one by cases. all three divisible by 3 = 10!/7!3! = 120 all three 1 more than a multiple of 3 " = 120 all three 2 more than a multiple of 3 " = 120 one from each = 103 = 1000 total = 1360 29. a) 3 I would think (since for any person, there are 3 others to choose...

    deducing that e is irrational

    Re: 回复: Re: deducing that e is irrational so sqrt2 = p/q 2 = (p/q)2 and p and q are integers - and have no common factors = p2/q2 if p doesn't have 2 as a factor, then as p and q are integers, and the square root of 2 isn't, the number can't be divisible by 2. so p must be divisble by 2 so p2...
