Ressurection Through Carnage might be worth checking out; it has 'Like Fire' which I remember I was pretty into a couple years back. Maybe the Breeding Death EP aswell. In general though, I probably wouldn't pay much attention to them. There's a lot of much better DM out there.

I don't know that I would say maths is good because it's objective, one correct answer etc. It should be more about problem solving, creativity - new ways of visualising and thinking about things..

well if the auxilary method is what I think it is, then that's a pretty simple way to work it out if you only need the amplitude, and the motion is in the form asin[x] + bcos[x] then it's just sqrt(a2 + b2) which is what you would have done to find R
