It's a stupid argument all together. Period. No matter what statistics you use to spin it. There is no accurate measure for it, especially through the HSC.

I got 99.25 with no tutoring, but I did totally different subjects to you. Consistent work across the year is the key to doing well, I wouldn't say there are an allocated amount of "hours" you should be doing per day. Only you know how much you need to do until you are confident you will perform...

Good observation, and true. The estimation the ATAR calculator gave my friend who did all the maths and sciences was higher than her actual, and the estimation the calculator gave me (and I do all the histories, Legal Studies, Society & Culture) was lower than my actual. Granted the difference...

99.25. Completely beyond what I needed/expected. Pretty thrilled. Hope everyone else got what they wanted. :) Two calculators said 99.15 and 99.20, so pretty accurate. But my deputy estimated 96-98. Wasn't expecting much beyond that.
