Are the practice classes for this subject worth anything/compulsory? only asking because i'm a little confused why it has nothing regarding it being compulsory in the course outline document but they do take a roll in class. Thanks.

You don't. Just go to the tutorials and do the work there, then use the tutorial notes to study from. Literally crammed this subject in one day during stuvac, easy as shit just a little content heavy. Absolutely hated this subject especially the 3 hour tutorials every week. Have fun :)

This is only the case in first year though, after that the maths become combined and hence you would only do 4 units.
