    My friend and I are gonna try going without an ACCESS card for the first year, and seeing how often other people actually use it. It's pretty expensive, and I don't want to feel obligated to use it for discounts just to get my money's worth.

    You don't need any "asian subjects" to get 99 or above. I only did humanities. A friend of mine got 99.2 with English Adv, English Ext1, Hospitality, SORII, Ancient History, and PDHPE. Enjoy what you do, and you will excel.
