    Thoughts: CSSA Legal Studies

Crime q. - if you neglected continual detention mandates, role of victim in sentencing and rates of recidivism in the prison system and circle sentencing, it's not good Family q. (b) - I was pretty judicious in what I memorized and it payed off; discipline, parental neglect, shared...

    Absurdist Monologue

I'm doing quit a niche, bold absurdist piece by Samuel Beckett, entitled 'A piece of monologue'. The piece is pretty aberrant to other absurdist pieces in that the stimulation is not supposed to be visual, rather an emphasis is to be placed on the non-sequential, vacillating dialogue. It mean...

    Half-Yearly Atar Estimate

Realistically, i've acknowledged that i probably won't get the cut-off, but im doing alot better this term and feel I'm on a good trajectory to receive 99+ and be competitive for second year transfer

    Half-Yearly Atar Estimate

Should say that these are cumulative ranks from the first two waves of assessments. Thanks

    Half-Yearly Atar Estimate

From my half-yearly ranks, what am I looking at? School Rank: 70 in 2012, usually around 80 English Advanced: 3/110 Drama: 2/27 Modern: 3/65 Legal: 2/45 Japanese Cont.: 2/10 (Inevitable state ranker at 1st) Japanese Ext.: 2/5 Should improve by trials, looking for first in Modern...

How can I study more efficiently and effectively?

Apportion your time in a way that you do a bit of each subject per day. You're a lot more efficient if you cap your work for each subject at 1 and a half hours than doing one subject for the whole day. A good way to do this is to just draw lines across the syllabus, dividing it into sections and...

    99.95 ATAR | Selling CHEM (95) + PHYS (95) Notes

I definitely recommend CodeBlue's essays. Both module A and B are excellent exemplars for future reference; they have obviously been tirelessly refined and perfected.

    HSC life

Good luck in the externals with that bullshit ethos. Markers aren't stupid; they're subjected to thousands of papers with those types of broad, over-arching and general statements. The good students know A LOT of information - specifics and niche statements that enhance a response. I don't care...

How many words should a modern history essay be?

In saying that, I get slammed for my diction and 'verbosity'.

How many words should a modern history essay be?

What's infinitely more important is that you get niche and specific with every thematic point you introduce, harnessing those illuminating statistics and going beyond the textbook. I get above 23 for every Germany essay with only writing 5 A4 pages, comprising of 5 body paragraphs and super...

    Half-Yearly Marks

I would have hated to study over this Easter break - Mine finished two Fridays ago, but meant that some topics weren't comprehensively covered.

    Half-Yearly Marks

Haven't received everything back so far; but as it stands...... Japanese (3hr HSC-style exam) - 89% - 2/10 (no. 1 will inevitably state rank; accelerated and constantly getting 100% with a HSC marker - i'm a little worried about the disparity between our marks though) Legal Studies - 85% -...

    Stressed

In regards to half-yearly preparation; You don't have much time. No-one is able to be 110% prepared. It's unrealistic that you're expected to have refined, sifted through notes, done multiple past papers and had time to remember the 20+ pages of notes you would have per subject. You seem like a...

What to do if your teacher isn't the best??? :/

In my opinion, English is greatly an individual pursuit, probably more so than any other subject you do. Think back to the skills you've enhanced thus far and apply them, constantly referring to the rubric and cementing thematic links.

    James Ruse Controversy

I have been told that it's a highly pressurized situation though, head makers walking around taking a quota of the amount of individually marked papers. Apparently they like you to be around 3 minutes a paper for you particular section.

    What is your iq?

128, but that was in primary school, ironically during an adhd test - I was a bad student.

    Suits thread

Re: Suits Discussion (starting from Jan 17th 2013 return) There's always been a subliminal power struggle, but I don't think we'll ever see real contention between Harvey and Jessica for managing partner.

Tutoring for the HSC: Math Ext 1 | Math Ext 2 | Legal Studies | Economics

David's knowledge and capacity to effectively and succinctly communicate is proficient, whilst being ardently willing and evidently motivated to teach legal studies to the best of his ability. Definitely recommended as a prospective tutor for those struggling to cover the course.
